Amy has changed my life. In April 2013 I came to Amy for help. I had been getting electrolysis on my neck and dark facial hair from the same esthetician for almost 10 years, that esthetican had told me that it would be a long and slow process. I believed her and thought my progress was normal but was starting to be unsatisfied by the service. I found Amy's World one day and I haven't looked back. At my first appointment with Amy we discussed my treatment plan, I would start with one hour appointments and slowly move to half hour and then eventually to 15 minutes, Amy also warned me that it would take a long time because my last esthetican did not do very much except damage the hair and caused many ingrown hairs that Amy would have to work at to get them out. Amy started my treatments and in no time we both saw amazing results, within two months of starting with Amy I was down to half hour appointments every two weeks. By September that changed to 15 minutes every two weeks and now I am seeing Amy for only 15 minutes every 3-4 weeks. These results took us both by surprise, my original treatment plan was supposed to take much longer but because of Amy's great work I progressed quickly. I have recommend Amy to anyone that I hear talk about hair removal; she is professional, kind, makes everyone feel comfortable and content and really does work magic.

My friend and I both decided we wanted electrolysis done so we looked online and found Amy’s website. She asked us both to come in to see what we needed done. After seeing the miserable plucking I have had to do daily, Amy assured me we would get this done and it would be better soon. She was absolutely correct! The plucking has officially stopped and only after a couple of months the hairs are barely there, which is shocking considering how many I had and how course they were. Amy used freezing on me so most of it was painless too which was an added bonus. As for my friend she only has four hairs left and said that it is the best result she has ever gotten with electrolysis. I have been a client with Amy for over 6 years and I'm 36 years old. I went to Amy and I had laser on my tummy (3 sessions) , my underarms (6 sessions), my full legs (5 sessions) and my bikini line (5 sessions), and now I'm completely hair free. For me, Amy's laser service was the best solution for hair removal. I haven't picked up a razor since 2008. WOW and THANK YOU!!!!!!!! Are the first words that come to my mind when I think of Amy! Six months ago I went to see Amy expecting the same answers I have gotten for the past 15 years about my really thick, dark and coarse facial hair (I am a woman!) - that nothing can be guaranteed. The best decision was me going to Amy for Laser and Electrolysis. When i first went to Amy i had a lot of facial hair, my self confidence was down and i did not want anyone to come close to my face . Amy was kind and understanding to my situation and came up with a personalized plan for me. After a numerous electrolysis sessions i bareley have any facial hair left. To give you an idea, when I first started electrolysis i had to go for an hour and a bit ( broken out into 2 sessions ) every three weeks, after a couple of months I now go in every 5 weeks for 15 minutes. I am hoping by the end of this year I will not have to go in anymore. I would recommend Amy to anyone not only for her work and amazing results, but she genuinely cares for her clients and that makes all the difference.

I found Amy's address by searching the internet. She worked a miracle on me! I was hopeless when I entered Amy's institute on February 2018. I had very abundant facial hair, with thick and black hair all over the lower part of my face and my neck. After our first appointment, I immediately knew that I found the right person. In addition to being competent, Amy is a very honest and empathic person. During my first visit, she put me at ease with her reassuring words and her smile. Also, her cost and time estimation regarding the treatment were right. We started the treatment on February 15, 2018. First results appeared very quickly. To summarize, in 11 months, Amy and I went from almost 6 hours of treatment to 35 minutes for the same area. Yes, you read it correctly. Amy has decreased hair in the problematic area by more than 90% in 11 months! The remaining ones grow back very thin and are almost invisible. Regarding the number of appointments, we went from two appointments a week to an appointment every three weeks. I am writing this review with a smooth and glowing skin. I can’t thank Amy enough for the incredible results I got. I can now do basic things like wearing my hair high in a ponytail or even going out without makeup. The results totally exceed my expectations. If you are looking for a competent, honest and professional electrologist in Ottawa and the surrounding area, I would definitely recommend Amy without any hesitation. Elle a tout simplement réalisé un miracle! Je suis entrée dans l’institut de Amy totalement désespérée en Février 2018. J’avais une pilosité faciale très abondante, avec des poils noirs et épais sur toute la partie inférieure du visage et le cou. Après notre premier-rendez-vous, j’ai tout de suite su que j’étais tombée sur la bonne personne. En plus d’être compétente, Amy est une personne très honnête et empathique. Dès ma première visite, elle a tout de suite su me mettre à l’aise avec son sourire et des mots rassurants. Aussi, l’estimation de coût et de temps annoncée pour la procédure s’est avérée juste. I have been to several places offering package deals on laser hair removal ....big waste of money, inexperienced staff and no results.
